One that is simple to use and isn’t for a business. And one where I can keep my name and information out of it. I am helping collect donations for someone I know who is sick and I don’t want my information given in the process. Does anyone know of a web hosting site that fits this profile?

I have a website whose domain is hosted by Easy Host. I want to switch to a new website hosting company, but still keep my website address.
Also, I just recently switched from a PC to a Mac, so I would need a compatibe website hosting company as well. Any suggestions.
I'm looking for real answers by people who have either done website hosting transfers before or knows what I'm talking about - not someone who just answers questions to get 2 points…please.

Personally, I like ReadyHosting. It's super reliable.

Is website hosting for a charity tax deductible?

I'm hosting a website for a registered charity and I'm a little confused on the rules.

Services are not tax deductible, but any additional costs that may occur ARE tax deductible.

This charity is using space and abandwidth on the server that I pay for. I havent charged them a dime because I have a few personal things on the server as well and the server is large enough to host multiple websites.

Not tax deductible unless you can identify specific out of pocket expenses that you paid in order to provide the service. You are donating the use of personal property.

Seems analogous to a person hosting an event at their house for the charity. The host could deduct the cost of food served, hired help, etc., but could not deduct the rental value of the home for the event, even though the host could have rented out the home for a day event for money.

What about reasonably priced, but high-bandwidth hosting for starting an interactive multi-media web-site?
